Flight Deck Brewing, Brunswick

#7 of 14 in Things to do in Brunswick
Flight Deck Brewing was born in the summer of 2016, when a team of beer lovers tasted an opportunity to bring a destination brewery to the thriving community, tourism corridor and college town of Brunswick, Maine.

With over a decade of homebrewing experiments, Head Brewer Jared Entwistle brewed professionally at one of Maine's largest craft breweries before co-launching Flight Deck. His passion for beer ensures the tasting room always has a diverse offering of familiar and experimental recipes.

Located in the former Small Arms Range of the Brunswick Naval Air Station (now Brunswick Landing), Flight Deck has a multi-use tasting room, brewery, and outdoor patio. We welcome groups, non-profit events, board meetings, and any other gathering that helps build community – just let us know what you have in mind, and how we can help.

  • They brew good beer with a rotating selection. They play good alternative current music not too loud so you can easily converse. Some thought was put into acoustics to prevent echoes when it was renovated. It is nice in the winter with good natural afternoon lighting. The Bailey Island Lobster Pond food truck parked outside has some of the better tasting food truck food. A great rueben and fish and chips. Good reuse of an existing structure. It was an indoor handgun and shotgun shooting range for sailors to be qualified. In typical wasteful Pentagon fashion, even though the base has been there since WW II, and was selected for closure in the final round of base closings, the range was built in the last year the base was operational even though it was in the process of closing for about 4 years. If someone says the military needs more money, they are wrong! All the windows were created by cutting out the foot thick concrete slabs. Don't trust access to the Tesla electric car chargers. They don't plow them out in winter and even plow snow up in front of them and for some idiotic reason did not locate them next to the parking lot. You have to drive across some crushed muddy stone which is why the snow plow guy does not plow them out.
  • Perfect hang out spot. Great beer. Food trucks are there often. Squeaky clean. You guys are doing a great job!
