  One of the best places to see long and wide vistas of the Rocky Mountains. Easy pull off the road coming in/out of Buena Vista. This time of year snow is just beginning to cover the peaks.  more »

  This vantage point provides one of the most impressive views of a mountain range I have ever seen, and I've seen quite a few. Like the Grand Canyon, and most impressive features, pictures do not do it justice. There is a covered structure with interpretive signs containing information about the valley and pointing out which peaks you are looking at. The fee of $8.00 seems a little steep if all you want to do is see the view, rather than having a picnic or using the trails, but the view is amazing!

  This is a really nice overlook to stop off at to take a break or stretch your legs. You'll find a beautiful panoramic view of the Collegiate Peaks, bathrooms, picnic tables and a large gazebo along with informational signs about the Collegiate Peaks.
