  • I'd call before coming to make sure the museum is open. Most visits include a guided tour of the museum. I helped start the museum and donated some of the display items. Great for school groups.

  • This review is titled, "A WALK BACK THROUGH TIME". I'm new to Butler only a few weeks. So I was interested in getting to know the history. Juanita was my tour guide and did an amazing job!! Her knowledge of historical events of 60, 70 years ago was fantastic!! And all the historical items are preserved in such incredible condition. It truely as though I had stepped back into time. If you are interested in history this is a place you MUST stop by and visit. Here's some of the 200 plus pictures I took. Enjoy Frank E
  • If you’re in the area, you really need to stop by and tour this museum. The “curators“ lived the experience in Butler, TN, as the town was eliminated. Our small group of five stopped and enjoy this brief glimpse into the past. Our hosts lived in Butler in the 30s and 40s. Just amazing passion. Thanks again, so much for your time. Any visitor will never look at a dam the same way again. Thank you, ladies.
