The Montana Dinosaur Center, Bynum

This was such a pleasant surprise. I've wanted to stop by here but have never really had a good chance. However, now that I'm retired and drive my car from Phoenix to spend time in my native Montana, this was the day (Aug 4) as I was driving from Glacier Park. Everyone associated with the Center was eager to help and seemed to love the being a part of this place. There was lots to see and get close to. The Center tries to make you one with the Dinosaur environment and I think they do a good job. I highly recommend a visit here.

The Montana Dinosaur Center is one of the stops on the dinosaur trail you can book an excevation tour. Saddly, we did not do this at this time as you will want your kids to be old enough to enjoy a half or full day outing. Ours are a bit too young to enjoy such an outing. The museum portion itself is small but has some amazing displays. Additionally, they have a life-size dinosuar in the exhibit hall that shows you how big dinosaurs could get. If there when it is quite you get a private tour by one of the staff. Eric, one of the staff, shared a wealth of knowledge as he guided us through the museum. He was also amazing at making it enjoyable for younger kids, pointing out cool and interesting things to the kids as well as answering all their questions. I highly recommend stopping here and hope you get Eric as your curator guide.
