Farmstead Golf Links, Calabash

#2 of 6 in Golf in Calabash
Golf Course · Hidden Gem · Outdoor Activity
Located on the northern end of the Grand Strand, Farmstead Golf Links is one of the most exciting courses in the Carolinas. Routed along a spectacular piece of land, the course boasts one of the most memorable holes in the Myrtle Beach area — its mammoth, 767-yard, 18th hole. The region’s only par 6, this finishing hole actually begins with a drive into a wide sweeping fairway in South Carolina and concludes on a large undulating green in North Carolina.

But Farmstead is much more than a one-hole wonder. Set on 480 acres, the links-style layout follows the land’s natural contours. Fairways are framed by native grasses and pristine lakes, providing many memorable visuals and a course that allows golfers to use their creativity.

The Willard Byrd/David Johnson design plays more than 7,200 yards from the tips – one of five sets of tees – and it has very generous fairways contributing to its reputation as a player-friendly layout.
A visit to Farmstead Golf Links represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Calabash road trip planning website to plot your vacation.

  • Played this morning after all the heavy rain the previous day yet the course was surprisingly dry and in fantastic condition! The greens were great! We look forward to going back!
  • Very player friendly course. Generous fairways. Fella working behind The counter was very abrupt almost to the point of being rude. Starter was exceptionally nice and helpful
