  • This is a cool place to visit if you have the time. It sis definitely unique. It only costs a few bucks for parking, and it’s only a short walk to get the actual lake. The salt structures are so cool, I have never seen anything like it. Furthermore, you can see quite a bit of unique wildlife. It makes for a good photo too.
  • The Eastern Side of the Great High Sierra will not disappoint! In fact that side of California has the most diverse and interesting geography in the entire world. From Death Valley's lowest point to Mt. Whitney's highest point, a relatively short drive is awe inspiring. Rising from below sea level the clean sparsely beautiful desert changes practically every mile, and then, WOW there you are, at the Portal to the highest mountain in the contiguous United States, 10,000 feet above sea level.
