  • This is a beautiful peaceful cemetery. It is well groomed. The sections are tree-lined and most have uniform marble headstones. The overall experience is awe inspiring.

  • It's well-manicured, the bathrooms are always clean, and it's perfectly paved. Exits signs are posted everywhere to help you find your way. The trees are beautiful when they bloom, and I see deer every time I visit, ~3x/week. You have to park ENTIRELY off the grass, which I think is a plus and keeps the grass nice. Two things I will say -1 star because (1) the ticks are bad--as they are everywhere on Long Island so beware when walking through the grass. And (2) I'm surprised to find that people drive WAY too fast through the cemetery. There's no double yellow, or even white lines and I don't recall seeing any posted "speed limit" anywhere. The roads are plently wide enough to navigate the parked cars, people walking, and space to drive around if people would just slow down.
  • Immaculate and fitting for all those who served to protect our freedom.
