Nitt Witt Ridge is a house on two and a half acres in Cambria, California, United States. Artist and recluse Arthur "Art" Harold Beal (1896–1992) bought his hillside lot in 1928 and spent most of the next 50 years carving out the terraces with only a pick and shovel, creating his own "castle on a hill".

  • Super fun tour of a wildly eccentric place and mind (Eccentric is totally my thing). The tour guide Mike does a lovely job showing you all around Nit Wit Ridge and into the creative mind of the owner Art. I would recommend making the stop.
  • Earns 5 stars for it's unique weirdness!! Such an interesting spot. You don't get to see stuff like this every day. $10 isn't bad at all either. There must be at least 1,000 abalone shells built into the stairs. Really cool stop!
