Visited here to spend some time hiking the Mount Battie trail to the top. Well marked trail with varied footing (logs, stones, dirt, etc.). Beautiful scenery along the way.

We almost passed by the turn off leaving town. It was definitely worth a detour up this mountain to see the panoramic view.

This campground was a pleasant surprise. It was level and good for my tent. The shower facilities wasn't perfectly clean, but was acceptable and fine for me. I spent the night and moved on in the morning, but it looked like it would have been fun to stay longer. Many other campers were getting ready for a fun day judging from the kayaks and other fun outdoor stuff I saw.
