Wisconsin National Guard Museum, Camp Douglas

This is a amazing place to visit. Lots of history. Eric was very knowledgeable. If you go, you must go into the military base. At the gate they will check your ID & do a search on you. Awesome place to walk around and check out the planes in display as well.

This was a neat little museum. But to get to it, you need to enter Camp Douglas and Volk Field. This means going through security which means a car search before entering the base. Security took my husband's driver's license and held onto it until we left. They also gave us a GPS unit to keep in our car and they told us they would be tracking it throughout the base and we could only go to the museum and nowhere else. That was an adventure! The museum is very informative and is no charge. There is a bathroom inside. You can also walk outside and look at tanks on display and various aircraft on display.
