  • I tent camped there the last weekend in July and it was packed at the state park campground. It is popular with both RV/pull behinds and tent campers. That being said I can tell you my stay there was still great. The campground was well kept, facilities and beach were groomed and maintained and the staff was friendly and courteous. Even at night with a full campground the noise around us was minimal and peaceful. I was surprised. The lake was close and the view and scenery were nice. I'll go back and it's worth the $22 night we spent for our tent site. The showers were newer and clean also. Update: still clean and superbly maintained. This state facility is managed wonderfully. We just went to the beach for the day to swim. Not overly crowded for a holiday weekend and clean.
  • The campground is clean and very well laid out. I love the fact that they have law enforcement drive around periodically. The lake is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our weekend and will definitely be back again!
