  • The fossils are the highlight of this little museum, in my opinion! We really enjoyed seeing the fossils discovered right there so locally, many of them on Skyline Drive. Worth a look!

  • This is a wonderful museum that is a surprise with the historic exhibits and the dinosaur bones. It is very well done and it was free the exhibit of historic clothing “Head to Toe” was quite good. Also “Dalls” room was very interesting. We took well over an hour but we love museums such as this gem. Also a great history of the Royal Gorge bridge. A short walk from the Royal Gorge Railroad and worth the visit.
  • Great little museum, lots of interesting local artifacts and history. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and since no other patrons were there at the time, we were given a personal tour by a very knowledgeable older gentleman named Bruce. They have some amazing fossil specimens that were all found locally as well. All in all it's a great place to spend a couple of hours learning about the history of Cañon City, and admission is free!
