The tasting room at The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey is in an Arts and Craftsmen cottage that was built by P. H. Troutman of Denver, Colorado, in 1911. The sweeping arches and post and beam structure are fabulous examples of this architecture. The winery produces 14 wines, 10 of which are complimentary to taste. Linens from Provence, pottery from Spain, Tunisia, Portugal and France, and a vast array of food, wine and travel books are just a sampling of the beautiful items sold in the tasting room.See The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey and all Cañon City has to offer by arranging your trip with our Cañon City trip site.

This was an amazing stop. The staff member that assisted us was wonderful. He answered all our questions and provided a great experience. We ended up buying 6 bottles to have shipped to our home...

Stopped here on our way out of town after a day of hiking. So glad we drove by and saw the Abbey! The scenery is gorgeous, and so nice to sit on their patio and enjoy some wine. We each bought a few bottles, I bought one of the Norton and the Sav Blanc. I was seriously impressed with the Norton, I don’t enjoy red wine. The sweet wines were well done, I just don’t like sweet wine in general. The staff was so knowledgeable, recalling all the details of how each wine was made. They were also all very friendly and kind, really capping off a wonderful experience. Overall, will be stopping here on my next time in town!

Very nice atmosphere for outdoor wine tasting. A tasting fee of $8 to try 12 wines. Wines also sold by the glass. Good wines, great friendly service. I won't rate wines because it is such a personal taste thing. You should visit and try for yourself. A good vendor was on site during my visit serving pizza.
