First Monday, Canton

So much fun!!! Canton First Monday Trade days is a great pickers paradise! Anything and everything you can imagine. New or old. It’s probably 50% old rusty dusty goodies to dig thru and 50% new items, such as hats, t shirts, purses. A lot of Hobby Lobby type decor. You definitely want to rent a scooter. Not kidding about this!! This place is massive!! I My scooter rent was $60 for the entire day. Yes, it’s pricey but you’ll thank me later. Also take a big shopping bag just to keep things together. Food and drinks are always pricey so take bottled water and just get ice. All kinds of food but again, pricey!! Eat before you go or take snacks. Bartering!!! Yes!! Love to barter for a good price! Most everyone Was taking reasonable offers. So don’t be afraid to ask. Now this is for the flea market items. I didn’t buy the clothes or Hobby Lobby type stuff, so I don’t know about those folks when bartering, doubtful tho. Parking was either $5-$10 per day. Go on a the first day they are open. Good Lord at the difference a day makes!! Like night and day difference!! Go early!! If you buy a big item, too big for a scooter to haul, they’ll give you a pickup pass to drive to pick it up. Ask the vendor and they tell you about it. Most of all…. Have fun!! You won’t be disappointed!! Check their website for the dates.
