Just wanted to thank this place again- my family and our sweet friend had the best time riding yesterday morning- kids 6, 8, and 13 who aren’t always the most enthusiastic outdoor explorers had “the best outside experience of my life,” (six year old). The horses are well cared for, and the guides are so knowledgeable and kind. As you can tell from the picture, “Sad Monkey” rock made my kids very happy, and what a bonus that the horses are all named after “Lonesome Dove,” characters! After such a great day yesterday, it was fun to open this month’s “Texas Highways,” this morning to see a lovely piece written on the Palo Duro Trading Post, which is run by the same family as the stables, and saved this mama with a cup of coffee after the ride. Palo Duro is beautiful, and as long as people involved in it’s care are like the Harris family, our state parks are in great hands! It’s so nice to be welcomed with the hospitality and kindness we found here- thank you again so much for giving us such a memorable family experience! We’ll be back! Best of luck to you all and thanks for all you do!

Another great way to see the Palo Dura Canyon. Horses are gentle, and the staff are very kind and helpful. It's worth the price.
