  • I did this hike last week by myself. I am a park ranger at another park and have good hiking skills. I have to say that I met several people on the trail who kept getting lost or turned around...

  • This is a excellent opportunity to be in a crater, unfortunately because I didn't have enough time I could not go, I did the loop and the views from the bottom are gorgeous, I felt so small down there, I did it clockwise, and the only difference is that if you do it the opposite is that you will be going down on big rocks or rock climbing down hill, I believe is a hard trail with beautiful views, we even had the chance to see big horns jumping on the rocks.
  • This is also the trailhead to the Upheaval Dome. The dome is thought to be a meteor strike. A fifteen minute hike gets you to the first view point for the dome and another 15 minute gets you to the second.
