  If you are treading east from Torrey on hwy 24 as we were, you enter the park by the Twin Rocks (not as impressive as the twin rocks in Blanding UT) and the orientation pullout. Just up the road is...  more »

  Fantastic place to see the night sky! If you find yourself in Capitol Reef NP and are an amateur sky gazer ... this overlook is a secluded spot only a mile off Utah Route 24. On the night I went, I was the only one back there which made for a peaceful hour gazing above.

  Great little stop to over look the valley. 360degree views. Great place for sunrise and sunset photos. Just park your car and walk a few hundred feet and you can see all across the valley.
