Hands down best snorkeling without a private tour. We saw the most fish close to the coral covered rock walls on the right. Use reef safe sunscreen, or better yet, wear a quick dry shirt over your suit. Aqua socks recommended for the Lava rock walking.

April 7, 2022 - We watched a youtube video that recommended Two Step for snorkeling so we borrowed gear from our cousins and off we went. We decided to park in the lot for $5. The only complaint is the outdoor privies were not very clean and they really should have some for women and some for men. No offense guys but sometimes you make a mess. Also, some didn't have toilet paper. Anyway, as to getting to the water, you can choose various routes and as others have suggested, water shoes would be recommended if you have tender feet like myself. We geared up including water noodles and got in the water. It is nice that there is fish right off the bat. You don't have to swim far to enjoy the scenery in the water below. We found that the noodles allowed us to stay out longer as they held you up so easily. If you enter near the sidewalk and swim right, there is a center section where the rocks come up pretty high so swim to the other side of those (ocean side) as I got caught when the tide got a little lower. You could see the fish fairly well although it did seem a little murky from time to time especially as compared to Captain Cook Cove. For the most part, the water was fairly smooth.
