The U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC) is the United States Army’s preeminent museum and research complex. We are dedicated to education and preserving the legacy of the men and women who have served their nation as Soldiers. The USAHEC makes available contemporary and historical materials related to strategic leadership, the global application of Landpower, and U.S. Army Heritage to inform research, educate an international audience, and honor Soldiers, past and present.

With an archive and library housing millions of books, letters, personal papers, photographs, and artifacts, the USAHEC tells the story of the U.S. Army and its veterans through exhibits, a research facility, and the Army Heritage Trail. The Visitor and Education Center features a 7,000 square foot interactive exhibit gallery, conference facilities with state-of-the-art audio visual and catering capabilities, a museum store, and the Café Cumberland. The main exhibit, entitled, “The Soldier Experience,” tells the story of the U.S. Army through the eyes of the men and women who lived its history in war and peace.

  • We went to the museum for Army family day they have a really well put together museum even my 15 month old daughter enjoyed also they have a large area outside with interactive buildings and bunkers also real tanks, a helicopter, and cannons all you can walk up to and touch along a very large walking trail. Definitely a fun day. A great place to take the family to!!
  • Outstanding outdoor displays from different conflicts and wars. Gives you a sense of what it was like to be there fighting as well as training, housing and other aspects of Army life. Really well maintained with plenty of parking. This is a hidden gem in the world of military museums. Enjoy the outdoor path that takes you through the various conflicts from our history: Afghanistan, Vietnam, WWI, WWII, the civil war as well as the revolutionary war.
