Nice flat walk that is good for all types of walkers. Wide path so that dogs can pass each other with out a fuss. Water views are beautiful. Do be sure to take water as this is not available anywhere ... more »
Easy 1.6 mile walk. Great views and plenty of rest spots to watch the sunset.
I love to walk around Batiquitos Lagoon. It is a fairly easy 3 1/2 mile walk. You can watch birds on the lagoon and in the surrounding vegetation, which is very varied and beautiful throughout the year in its different stages. There are nor bicycles - just people and dogs. Most of the time it is very quiet and only the faraway hum of the freeway is heard, which does not seem to be disturbing at all, since it becomes a steady low murmur. You can rest and meditate on may benches with lovely views. Catch glimpses of some great homes and the golf course on the north-side. There also is a lot to see and learn at the information center.
