  • Went with my family to the monastery on Sunday afternoon. It was a very nice to be able to walk around. The monastery is very clean and well kept. I wished we could have stayed longer and explored the monastery grounds more, but it was near closing time so we left. Will definitely come back again when we visit the area.
  • A Great outdoor and spiritual place to visit. The largest Buddha I know of in NY. All in a gorgeous outdoor, tree lined setting. On a quiet day a herd of deer may pass. Very peaceful, healthy setting. To walk inside the temple you must take off your shoes. At this time you can not walk inside without a mask. There are walking bridges, pagoda style pergolas, picnic tables. It is a great place to spend a few hours of meditation, inner peace, or plain picnicking. Just remember to respect the Buddhist setting.
