Garland Ranch Regional Park is a 3,464 acres (1,402 ha) public recreational area at 700 West Carmel Valley Road, in Carmel Valley, California. It is owned and managed by the Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District. Flat floodplain with great trails that go steeply up into the hills, ample parking. The park can be hot midday so best to start early or bring a hat.

My friend and her dog went with me to this park. The visitor center is currently closed but we had service throughout the entire park so we could check the trail map. Many people were going to the waterfall but unless there have been heavy rains recently it will be dry. Highly recommend going to inspiration point as you can see the valley from there. The historic barn was interesting because the information plaques told how the park was created and its history. Dogs can be off leashed but be warned there are wild turkeys and a lot of poison oak right off the trail.

Cool place!!! Super hot to walk to any trails for the first 20 minutes fyi. If you are on meds that react to direct sunlight realize this place in the beginning has ZERO SHADE.
