The Carrizozo Heritage Museum is located at 103 Twelfth Street. one block off Highway 54, In Carrizozo,NM. The Museum is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Carrizozo and the surrounding area, it is home to a multitude of interesting exhibits on our local history including out railroad and ranching history. Many of the artifacts on display have come to us from local families.

The Museum also hosts various programs throughout the year.

  • This museum, and the volunteers who operate it, do a great job bringing the history of Carrizozo to life. I hadn't expected much based on outer appearances, but was pleasantly surprised. Well worth a visit.
