  • Our family had a great first time visit to Tellus today. We started out with a picnic in the pavilion. The grounds are lovely and the museum itself very clean. Bathrooms are plentiful inside and outside of the building. We loved every exibit as well as the planetarium show. Certain areas with kids activities were a bit crowded but then again, we did visit during spring break. Each Tellus staff member that we interacted with was very kind. We grabbed a quick snack from the food area before leaving. Prices were fairly reasonable. Overall, we spent about 4 hours at the museum. Definitely worth the 1 hr 45 minute drive from home.
  • My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We came on a Sunday afternoon which made for surprisingly light attendance but even on a heavy day, I can tell this place is laid out in a way that wouldn't create a hindrance to movement (except for the hands-on room and the fossil dig). Each exhibit was maintained nicely although we did run across a few that were in need of some repairs. Considering the amount of touching these exhibits get, it's to be expected and honestly, I'm surprised that the number of exhibit issues we found was as small as it was. I look forward to returning.
