Black Rock Vineyards, Carthage

#12 of 13 in Wineries in North Carolina Coast
Winery / Vineyard · Hidden Gem · Food & Drink
Black Rock Vineyards is located in Carthage, NC. The owners, Ronnie and Denise Williams, are brave, curious, wine enthusiasts who have worked very hard to create something they can be proud of! The vines were originally planted in April of 2007. The first harvest is anticipated for August or September of 2008. The first vintage will be produced in the newly built wine cave, located at a site away from the actual vineyard. Future plans include a winery, tasting room, wine club, and possibly a wine bar!

  • Wine was delicious and great prices. The tasting was just ok. Seemed rushed and didn't get to hear any stories/information about the winery. We go to a lot of tastings and that is my favorite part. The owners are extremely responsive and we will definitely return.
  • Great boutique winery in Moore County. Quite impressed with the reds, especially the Chambourcin. I’ve had reds from the Old World that don’t match up with Black Rock’s Chambourcin. A visit is highly recommended.
