  • I've been camping here my entire life. The lake is gorgeous and thankfully they haven't yet sold out to people too scared to actually enjoy nature. The campgrounds smell of pine and wood smoke and the sound of children playing frequently permeates the air. There's plenty of hiking trails and paths to bike or walk on. The lake is perfect for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, boating, and fishing. The park rangers are friendly and dedicated to their job and to the environment. There's both camp sites and day areas so everyone can enjoy. I highly recommend visiting someday. It's easily one of my favorite places on earth.
  • Probably the coolest boaters hang out in the whole state of Maine IMHO. The well known Sandbar @ Sebago Lake State Park. On a summer weekend you better get there early because you will have a hard time finding a spot to run up on the bar. Luckily the water is like 3ft deep for half a mile off the beach so you can drop anchor and wade... Pure Summer Awesomeness!!!
