  • Taking the new highway to the overlook of the volcano is relatively long, so this park offers a nice rest stop for Service Dogs(and people.)  more »

  • Pretty nice park. Spent 2 nights. Within walking distance of Mt St Helens visitor center. We'll be back. FYI, bring your own firewood or buy some before getting there. They didn't have any at the park during our stay.
  • The campsites were decent and the bathrooms clean. There are some nice trails through a mix of old and new growth forest that loop around to various parts of the campground. The playground is geared towards older kids, 10 and up, and it appears to attract a good number of them during summer camp season. There was no cell coverage in our loop, which is pro or con depending on your addiction. The St Helen's visitor center across the highway was nice and there was a decent river park about 6 miles down the road for the kids to splash around in the cool water.
