  • Very tall stands of trees in this flood plane area. Some 130 to 150 feet tall. Great boardwalk walking trai. Trees also very old. Be sure to bring bug spray.  more »
  • Great walk through the swamp - most of the trails are on boardwalks and go through the swamp or parallel the river. We were able to see some wildlife, snakes on the trail, gator in the river, and...  more »
  • This was a nice trail. My only complaint is that the trail isn't kept up as well as I think it should be. For example, we almost lost the trail because a fallen tree with vines covered the trail. Oh and believe the signs, there are definitely alligators!!!
  • Favorite place to hike in Columbia. Unique ecosystem full of wildlife just across river from city. Alligators, snakes, deer, otters, and birds of prey seen on a regular basis, especially if you know where to look.
