Cedar Key Historical Society Museum, Cedar Key

The Cedar Key Historical Society Museum is located at 7070 D Street, Cedar Key, Florida. It contains exhibits and photographs depicting the history of Cedar Key from prehistoric times through the 20th century. The museum is housed in two buildings. The main part is in the Lutterloh House. The annex is the Andrews House, which was originally on Atsena Otie Key before being moved to the mainland after the 1896 hurricane. It is part of the Cedar Keys Historic and Archaeological District.In 1989, it was listed as the John Lutterloh Residence - Cedar Key Historical Museum in A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture, published by the University of Florida Press.

  • This is a breath taking display of history!! Everything is complete from artifacts, pictures, and maps. We have always visited Cedar Key, but never learned the history of the island. Thank you
  • Great history of old Florida. The Standard Manufacturing Company story was very interesting. Got to have some fried mullet and swamp cabbage this weekend. It's hard to believe that 260 people lived on Atsena Otie Key at one time. I'm ready to go back to 1920 - maybe minus the dental care :)
