Hidee Gold Mine, Central City

This was one of the best experiences we have done. I loved how educational this tour was!! We had crusty Rusty as our guide he was fun and my kiddo enjoyed the interactive and knowledge that Rusty shared with us. Roy was fabulous and he was patient and loved teaching not just kids but adults too about how to pan gold. I would hands down recommend Hidee to Anyone and everyone! Everyone loved their job!! Everyone wanted to teach people! Safety is huge for them and there was never a minute for us that we felt unsafe. Thank you to everyone who made us feel welcomed

Great place for a family fun. 😃👍 Nice staff, tourist and family friendly tour overall. Educational and fun for kids and adults. My personal opinion - it’s a bit overpriced(we got deluxe package +panning lesson for 5 people) and the actual mining was too shot(a few minutes per person), but we were aware of it and it’s OK with us. It was definitely worth it, since it was our one-time family experience in a gold mine. Our tour guide was Rusty, the real miner with 50 years of experience. He made our tour quite informative and fun, helped every one to get a shiny little rock, he was patient and helpful during our panning lesson. Do not expect you get a pound or two of gold there:) It’s all about the true experience! Love it! A bit sparkles on my rock and in my washed sand made my day! Highly recommend this place!
