Whirlwind Golf Club at Wild Horse Pass, Chandler

I had a good time here at Whirlwind Golf Club. We played the Cattail course. The course was in incredible shape for this time of year. Fairways were lush, greens were true, bunkers were plush, and the customer service was top notch. I initially had a slight issue with Troon Reward points, but Art in the pro shop was very gracious and hospitable in resolving the matter. The only thing I did not necessarily like was sharing golf carts. If you pay $150 to $215 for 18 holes, there is no reason to expect a golfer to share with another stranger. But with that being said, I was paired with a gentleman named Joe and two others. Joe was a long time member there when the course still honored memberships before Covid. He was an awesome golfer to play with and had exceptional local course knowledge. All in all, I had an enjoyable round and I will look forward to stopping by once again when I'm in town. Amazing facility, and very well maintained. We played Devil’s Claw and really enjoyed the layout. Challenging but with smart play is getable. Signature hole 7 lived up to its billing. Only dropping a star because, and call me petty, but with the rates we paid I couldn’t get a coffee top off on the ninth hole. Was told I would have to pay for a full cup. Other than that, no complaints.
