The North Carolina Botanical Garden (about 700 acres (2.8 km2), plus 210 acres (0.85 km2) of nature preserves) is a botanical garden operated by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The primary goal of the Garden is to research, catalog, and promote the native plant species of North Carolina.

  • We walked through the gardens - of course, in February nothing blooming 😁, but still a nice walk. We then went on two of the pedestrian paths that circle the property and really enjoyed that as well.  more »
  • The North Carolina Botanical Gardens is reopened in Chapel Hill. The buildings are closed but the display gardens and the restrooms are open. Although the gardens are free to visit they do ask for.....  more »
  • Fun beautiful place. Nice hiking trails and you can play in the river. Cool gardens too. Interesting meaningful experience. Completely free (except for the gift shop of course). The gift shop is fun to look around in even if you don't want to buy anything. The giant chess set is really fun. Very family friendly.
  • It's a beautiful and relaxing place. You could go with your family to observe the nature and hear the birds singing. Great service. It's free. And it has free parking. Has a great shop with plants, book, coffee y many other thing.
