Wouldn't it be nice if there was a cool place where you could get a great sandwich and a cold beer? Maybe you could get a great basket of fries, maybe they'd have awesome happy hour specials with cheap beer and shots? What if we had a neighborhood place that served lunch, dinner, and late-night and it was only 5 minutes from everyone in metro Charleston? These are the questions that led us to open the Tattooed Moose, a laid back pub and sandwich shop with good beer, cheap beer, lots of shots, and a kitchen that's open 'til 1am.

  • It's so good that we visited twice! Only requirement is that you have a big mouth! Also recommend the Cubano!  more »

  • Really good bar food. Had the duck fat fries (with Garlic and Blue Cheese), homemade pickles and green tomatoes, and split the thanksgiving day sandwich. Food was all really good! Service was good, bartender knew his stuff, had good recommendations for places to go (new visitor to town) and knew his beer list well. When asked about the menu, he provided actual insight into how stuff was made... wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t also the owner. Decor was very eclectic, TVs had sports games on, and there was plenty of space to sit with groups of people. There was writing (some obscene) and stickers all over the walls and bar... probably not the best place to take your Christian grandma or something. Overall great experience, only thing that I would consider is that it’s not in a very walkable neighborhood... very industrial (warehouses etc).
  • My fust time here, food was amazing, friendly wait staff, and great atmosphere! Tried the duck club, first time ever having duck. I was not disappointed. The fries are nice and crunchy and crispy! The wings are to die for! Got the Asian style!
