Really enjoyed our visit here. Beautiful grounds and friendly staff. The cheese and crackers were a nice compliment to the wine. Parking was close to the seating areas. This was a nice start to... more »
My husband and I returned to Jefferson Vineyards in July 2019 after taking a few years off of the VA winery scene due to our move to NC and having children . Jefferson Vineyards used to be one of my favorite vineyards in the Cville area. I was so excited to go back. The view is still amazing, but the wine was not as good as I remember it being. It used to be a quieter place, not so crowded, and more peaceful. One of the best Cab Francs I have ever had was from there. To be fair, we did go on a weekend. It was very crowded, the space could not handle the number of people. The wine was ok. We bought two bottles. However, we joined wine clubs and bought whole cases at other places we visited.
Took the dogs, shared some wine in chairs on their lawn. Great wine tasting, knowledgeable staff. All and all very pleasant experience 🙂
