  • Oh my! This place is amazing! My mom and I brought my 8 year old grandson and 3 year old granddaughter to visit on July 3rd. Our 1/2 day wasn’t nearly enough time to truly take it all in. I’ve visited...  more »
  • We chose to visit the museum for our sons 7th birthday and couldn’t have been more pleased. We live in Nashville and chose to stay at the Hilton next door so that we would be near the museum. Within a...  more »
  • I took grandchildren, ages 2 & 3, and wasn’t sure if there would be much they’d enjoy. Boy, was I wrong! There are so many hands-on activities from water play to music to pretend play. We stayed 3 hou...  more »

  • We could not get enough of this place!! We brought 2 kids along with their godparents and all 6 of had a blast here. Our autistic child could not get enough of all the science stuff and loved the water play area, especially the climbing structure where one could use a fan to fly kites. We left to go eat and returned to see even more of the museum, and there was still plenty to keep us busy. We loved the music area (2 in our group are professional musicians). The dinosaur/bug area sparks creativity, as does the rooftop area. We loved the Daniel Tiger traveling exhibit, but I was sad to see that the museum didn't get the Mister Rogers Neighborhood puppets that I know are part of this exhibit. At least they have Mister Rogers' cardigan and sneakers, which my children (and we) loved. That alone was not enough to make me remove a star because this museum is fantastic!!
  • We love the Creative Discovery Museum! My son has been coming since he could walk, and loved the gated baby area because it's for walking babies/toddlers. They have a wooden train track with trains, a little kitchen, a tree house with a few stairs, etc. All really stimulating things for 1.5+. Spread over 2 floors is the rest of the museum with permanent educational and fun exhibits, everything from music, to tactile and motor skills, to science, etc. There's also an epic water play area that my son adores, and a climbing gym of tunnels. Temporary exhibits come through, too. The museum hosts art classes, story time, celebrates world holidays, etc. and even hosts adult exclusive events to explore the museum. It's truly a wonderful gem that kids will love time and time again at a very inexpensive price. If you're a member, you get a discount at the cafe. The cafe is nice and cheap, basic food and healthy snacks. You can also have a birthday party here.
  • My little man loved this place and the staff was so helpful and nice. Every area of the center is well thought out, fun and has stuff for a wide age range. I highly recommend spending a day here. If we were local we would definitely have a membership. The music rooms are awesome!
  • Prices are fair allot of activities for your child to explore. My family loved it! Cafe menu was about $4-$7. Pretty basic food options. If you get membership the price of your tickets gets included and you get 2 free tickets to bring family along. Parking is behind the building if you can find an open spot. It's not that big of a lot 3hrs and under is $5. Till 6pm it is $7. Other then that I believe I saw a garage nearby.
  • Visited the Creative Discovery Museum with my daughter's class on a field trip. We had a wonderful experience. The guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and great with the kids. They had plenty of time with each section of the museum, and never got bored. It was really awesome to see the kids get excited over things like how electricity powers a buzzer or how an instrument works to create a sound. I highly recommend to anyone with a curious minded child!
