  • Way better than I had in my mind. This is a great museum and art gallery. Incredible views looking over the Tennessee river. A great deal of art from the 1700s to present day including furniture from early American history. The 1st Thursday of the month after 4pm it is free admission for the general exhibit and a few dollars more for any special exhibits. The family enjoyed the visit and we will return for another visit. It really was worth the time. The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly. There were even pieces on display from local artists. What surprised me was the number of pieces from very popular artists.
  • The Hunter is a great place for a family outing. There is something for all ages to relate to, including a wonderful collection of contemporary glass art. The views are lovely and it's an easy museum to navigate. Visit the museum, have lunch in Chattanooga and then go back to the aquarium. It's a fun day.
