  • We had a fantastic time on the Summerville train trip. Rode in the Pullman car and loved the seating and feeling of privacy. Breakfast was amazing! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Not much to do...  more »

  • A train ride with Santa on the North Pole Express. It was short and sweet and magical for my 5 year old granddaughter. My granddaughter's other grandmother went as well and she really enjoyed the experience. My 12 year old liked it too, but was harder to admit to it. We had hot chocolate, a cookie, a story, saw wonderful Christmas lights and picked up Santa and Mrs. Claus. They rode back to the station with us and sat and spoke to every child. We were given souvenirs and momentos... Even a Christmas jingle Bell. The Tennessee Valley Railroad REALLY goes above and beyond to make this a memorable experience. I had no idea, but they have a great little gift shop in the depot. If anyone has a train fan friend or family... You can find an excellent gift for this person in the gift shop. There are many other experiences offered here. There are dining cars and holiday specials.
  • This was a cool experience. I loved the workers were dressed in uniforms to fit their roles! The woman that was guiding the beginning of the ride was very nice (a fellow rider had a few questions and she was very kind in answering them, if she did not know she went above and beyond to get that answer).
