  • Provided so much information about the Cherokees (both their predecessors & their more recent history). Very easy to take self-guided tour (my SO, who usually skips reading placards when we visit...

  • We went during our trip in March 2022. You must wear a mask. There were not very many people at all in the museum. I can see how the location would be crowded quickly. This is a great place to spend at least an hour going over history of the Cherokee Indian. There is a nice mix of displays, information and soundtracks playing over the speakers. We did not do the option for the audio tour. I do wish the theater was able to open back up. It would be a nice addition to the museum. It is closed due to COVID. The Medal of Honor display was fantastic. Just a little room that was very informative. The Gift Shop was also full of fun neat gifts. Not too expensive. They even had cool backpacks for drinks, etc.
  • This is a very educational place to visit. We really enjoyed reading all about the history of the Indians. We got to see beautiful baskets, pottery, carved masks and all different kinds of arrowheads, just to name a few. There were beautiful paintings on the walls that told the history. There is also a nice gift shop. This is a great place to visit and we would definitely recommend you take your family.
