Chesapeake Arboretum (47 acres) is a non-profit arboretum located at 624 Oak Grove Road, Chesapeake, Virginia. It is open daily without charge.

The arboretum was established in 1996, and currently consists of a mature hardwood forest with good trail system, farmhouse, and theme and demonstration gardens.

    My husband, dog, and I walked the Chesapeake Arboretum trails for the first time today. We wanted fresh air and, due to COVID-19, not many people. We got it and loved it. The camellias were blooming.....  more »

    Beautiful, but entrance off the road, has a stream with groundwater and rainwater that smells more like sewage. Homestead area is pretty. Bob, a master Gardener there, was super welcoming and friendly. Two thumbs up. Go visit :)

    Beautiful nature trails. Took my son there in his stroller and was able to explore quite a bit. Can't wait until he's a little bit older so we can see the rest!
