  • This was my first time throwing an ax and we all had an awesome time! Thank you to the young man that was our guide, he was very patient with all of us. He explained how the proper way to throw an axe  more »
  • My team and I attended Bad Axe for a private lesson as part of a team-building offsite, and an alternative to the usual dinner-and-drinks event. This did not disappoint. Our private coach took us thro...  more »

  • This experience was AMAZING. I couldn't imagine how it could have been so much fun with a group of 16 people but it WAS. Cody, our coach, was enthusiastic and extremely helpful with his tips/pointers. He was supportive and cheered for us at every turn. I enjoyed it so much, I'm going to join a league. The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is that $44/person (with a group) felt a bit steep. And the location is a bit difficult to find. Other than that, I literally have nothing negative to say. I can't wait to go back!
  • I guess us Californian's are more of Yelp Reviewers but this Google Review works too ! I had such an awesome time at Bad Axe Throwing - - who would've thought!! I gotta tell you, when my coworkers told me we were doing our team building here I was a bit worried/nervous, all of the above. I was thinking, "I hope they at least have lighter axes, or smaller sizes, etc (for women)". Turns out they only had one size so I was even more nervous. Ha! Net, net it was such a good time! Coach David was exceptionally awesome at making it fun and explaining the rules of the various games. We even asked him to join us for some eats afterward, and he showed up! Super friendly guy - makes for great service at the Axe Throwing. What made it the best part, you ask? Coach David said maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 make it on their very first try. Myself and my manager were the only 2 of our group to achieve that!! Great place, lots of fun, bring one to Northern California!!
  • If you are an axe throwing noob, I highly recommend doing the Bad Axe Package deal with a group of friends. Our axe wielding instructor, Cody, was thoughtful, vigilant, patient, and informative. He offered personalized critiques and advise on how to improve our axe throwing abilities throughout the 2.5 hours we were there. Cody kept the experience fresh by running a variety of games and showing us different ways to throw axes. We had such a great experience!! I would definitely go back!
  • We went here for my boyfriends birthday with a group of 12 people and it was soooo much fun!! Our instructor was great and brought awesome energy to the group and our time there. She made it fun for us by having us play some games and made it competitive. Everyone had a blast and I would totally go back. Definitely worth trying at least once
  • My friends arranged a bachelor party outing to Bad Axe Throwing! We had a quick training session on safety, and then we got started. I know several people were hesitant to do this event, but by the end they loved it. Some of us turned out to be pretty good at throwing axes. The last part of the session was learning some trick throws. The trick throws were the best, and I recommend adding more when possible. This is a BYOB event, but alcohol is not allowed for obvious reasons. I say skip the drinks, and head to the Bottom Lounge when you're done. I hope they create a new location in Bridgeport!
