  • Great experience for students. I took the college students in my business club to the Fed for a guided tour and presentation. The gentleman who was our host was affable, knowledgeable, and quite engaging. Maybe five or six years ago when I took a similar group there, we were treated much less invitingly, so I must compliment the people at the Fed in Chicago for making changes that truly benefit its interactions with visitors, especially when those visitors will ultimately be professionals in the finance industry.
  • Free museum, with lots of money on display. The rotating cube of cash is a neat photo, and the shredded bills make an interesting (and free) souvenir. Museum is on the first level, and you will need to have your items run through an x-ray machine before entering. Self tour is on the shorter side, 30-45 minutes, but worth it if you are interested in the history of US currency.
