Ross County Historical Museum is a Very Very Excellant Museum!!!! I have been to many museums This one was probably a top 5 I've been to. Staff is very knowledgeable knowledgeable on the history of Chillicothe Staff is very knowledgeable knowledgeable on the history of Chillicothe And willing to explain everything to you . Was there 3 hours yesterday wish I could have spent another 3 hours there

As part of our vacation, my wife and I decided to stop here. What a great decision! A very interesting and delightful museum dedicated to early Ohio history and the first state capitol. What was even better was unexpectedly discovering some very unique and rare artifacts here that one would think would be only found at much larger institutions. Also, being a smaller venue allows them to add a personal docent tour of the facility. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend anyone travelling through Chillicothe make this a definite stop.
