  • Captain Steve's shop is awesome! This is our 1st time fishing at Chincoteague. Jimmy at the shop was awesome. He got us the correct rig, showed us how to bait the hooks, and where to fish. My family had an awesome time catching croakers at the pier. Many thanks to Jimmy. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back again.
  • I've been coming to this shop for literally as long as I can remember. My earliest memories of visiting the island include Tom letting me help him set out the crab traps and surf rods when he opened up in the morning in exchange for bait when I was probably 10 years old. I came by again last season, 26 years later, and not only was he still there but he remembered me. He and his family have been a small part of my life and I was so happy to find that he was still there, and that I was able to introduce him to my wife and share some stories. They're wonderful people, and they deserve every good thing that comes their way.
