  • Quiet, serene. My father recently passed and as a child he stomped these woods, which he held dear to his heart all his life. He passed this love on to his three girls. We were walking in his memory with our mother. Was a pleasant way to honor his life. And seemed perfect to ask in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the park to keep this sacred space maintained for future generations, such as his grandchildren and theirs.
  • Great park!! Lots of things to see.. a waterfall, museums, wild ducks, gardens, several playgrounds, a babbling brook, lots of shelters and picnic tables. Great opportunities to walk, hike, skateboard, bike, etc but still completely handicap accessible. The animals are clearly well cared for and are visible (unlike a lot of zoos) and are honestly just icing on the cake as thw rest of the park is phenomenal! I've taken hundreds of pics over the years, but here are a couple of our most recent ones!
