I grew up about a mile from Churchville Nature Center. Visited many times as a kid and teenager. Used to fish in the reservoir before it became prohibited. Hadn't been back in probably 30 years. I was amazed at how much has changed, but has remained the same. I walked all of the trails and had many encounters with deer. They are very curious creatures. I found a bench by the reservoir that I sat on years ago. Surprised it was still there. Nice spot to stop for a snack, some water and a great view. Please don't leave your trash behind. The Boy Scouts and countless other volunteers have done an amazing job cleaning up and working on restoring the natural plants and trees. If you want to learn about trees, plants, birds, insects and all the other inhabitants of the area, this is the place to go.

These grounds are incredible. Plenty of trails, both paved and dirt, which weave through trees, thick vegetation, and a few small exhibits. Follow the boardwalk past the spring house and marshland to the water’s edge. Is an awesome spot to catch a sunset and there are plenty of benches. There was also a picnic area with a few activities which would be ideal for kids. We didn’t have an opportunity to drop into the center itself, but everything we did experience was very well groomed. Leave the pets behind, but do bring the family or just head out for a peaceful walk.
