A stunning Art Deco greenhouse is the backdrop for exotic plants at Krohn Conservatory. Completed in 1933, the conservatory is home to more than 3,500 species from around the globe. Visit the Palm House to see the 6.1 m (20 ft) waterfall and goldfish stream, as well as many palm varieties. After checking out the miniature wonders of the bonsai collection, head to the desert garden to see aloes, agaves, and yuccas. The orchid display encompasses hundreds of orchids, including monstera deliciosa--the enormous fruit-salad plant. In the Tropical House, breath in the deep, earthy smell of damp, warm soil and the leafy foliage of banana trees, cycads, and vanilla vines. • Very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours, especially when special displays like Christmas or butterflies are happening. Easy to park. Easy to get around inside. Spectacular plant displays...

  • This is my second time coming here and it's always been so beautiful and relaxing to enjoy but this time they had the butterfly exhibit open which was such a amazing experience. Do take into account that if you bring children (or anyone for the matter) be sure to respect and be delicate with the butterflies, the rules for the safety of the butterflies are important. You can ask questions and learn lots of cool stuff about them which I loved, it was a fun and magical experience. They give you these paper landing pads to hold the butterflies. (The easiest way to lure a butterfly on one is putting the paper in front of the butterfly and giving them the opportunity to step into it. ) This place offered a wide variety of plants, butterfly's and statues to enjoy at your leisure. A highly recommended experience.
  • It's so beautiful! It's unbelievable how they keep so many different types of plants that require very different environments in the same building. The staff was very nice and always went out of their way to explain things to me and my family whenever we asked. The Bonsai trees are also very impressive! I come here a lot and it seems to get better with every visit.
