Nichols Village Hotel Spa, Clarks Summit

What I am reading is very sad. I used to live in Clarks Summit and I worked at the hotel about 17 years ago. It was beautiful. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were the ultimate luxury. Everything was spotless and the management was very strict about how every single room looked and how clean they were. The jacuzzi room was always cleaned. The towels, etc. There were weddings there all the time and families staying there for the weddings. When I came back to visit PA I always stayed there and It was always spotless the same as I remembered it. It has been a very long time since I have been there but, I hear that new management took over a few years ago and that is too bad because apparently the new management made a real mess of this once beautiful hotel. I hope that something is done about it and make it as it used to be

I was initially hesitant about booking an off brand hotel, but ended up loving our visit. The room was affordable, huge, well-appointed with a refrigerator, and had a bathroom with a jetted tub. At night, the hotel was quiet, we slept great. Now, the hallways could use some updating (get rid of those old ceiling tiles!) but everything was clean and in working order. Sadly, the pool was closed, but the jetted tub made up for it. The hotel does offer complimentary continental breakfast, but it's a very limited breakfast consisting of juice, coffee, cereal, milk, toast, bagels, and muffins. It will get you started, but that's about it. Location is great - ample parking, close to major highways yet away from the noise, and close to food. There's a restaurant on-site and a Sheetz right next door. Would definitely love to come back!
