Established in late 2012, Moonrise Distillery is located in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian mountains as you enter the City of Clayton in Rabun County, Georgia. At Moonrise Distillery, we produce high quality Whiskey, Bourbon and fruit Brandies, with all ingredients coming from local farmers and sources. By following this concept it is our goal to make a positive impact on the local economy.
We currently custom manufacture small batch products for other distilleries as well as barrel age and store our own products. We operate a tasting room and offer free plant tours.

We had a blast there. Jennifer was an amazing hostess. We tried their Bourbon Whiskey, Rye Whiskey, Limoncello and Snow Cream. We left with a bottle of their Bloody Mary (premixed), two Bourbon Whiskey, Limoncello and Snow Cream. All were very good. I'm sure we'll be back for more, especially the Snow Cream.

Got ourselves a souvenir of pre-mixed sazarac. Loved the amazing ‘smooth’ rye select and the Bourbon select and learned so much about the drink from super knowledgeable and passionate owner! He surely knows his alcohol! Casual shop/bar for a variety of tasting flights or cocktails. Would definitely return!
