  • Another of the city's excellent, well-preserved historical homes. Unlike the opulent homes of the city's rich (the Campbell House and Cupples House), while the Hanley family was comfortable and well off by the standards of the day, this was a working farm house. One sees the differences in the level of grandeur, the presence of homey goods, as well as domestic implements. Also very moving is the slave quarter behind the house.
