Create an itinerary including Clearwater Beach
Spend a day on the white sands and in the gentle waters of Clearwater Beach, noted for its proximity to restaurants, shops, and hotels. You can choose to fish, kayak, swim, or snorkel in the calm surf, or stroll along the waterfront promenade and hop on a dolphin-watching cruise in the gulf. Quieter and less crowded than many of its neighbors farther south, this beach attracts visitors interested in grabbing a good spot on the silky sand and spending a tranquil day in and out of the warm water. Take advantage of the drinking fountains, shower nozzles, and bicycle paths, all part of a 2008 upgrade to this public beach. • Great Sandy beach - not a lot sea shells, but that makes it easier in the feet. There were tents with lounge chairs available. Great for sand castle building. Beach was great!!! We stayed about 3...

  • Every morning chairs were set out and all was ready to go for each day. The boardwalk was beautiful as well.

  • Such a beautiful beach! The soft sand, abundance of shells, dolphins, sunsets, and rainbows! How could it get better? We went on a weekend and it wasn't too crowded. I know it gets busy on hot summer days, but with the aquarium nearby and amazing hotels with restaurants. You can always escape if it gets to cold in the evenings.
  • The Gulf coast of the US are home to some of the best beaches in the country and this beach is not an exception. Clearwater, as the name suggests, the Emerald colored water here is very clear. The beach is very long with white, sugary sands. It's an excellent place for walking. The Pier is a great attraction. Sunsets here are just beautiful.
